Well, turns out all you nay-sayers out there jinxed us from finding out the sex of the baby — but not because it was too soon.  Apparently, we have a very uncooperative baby.  He/she was running laps and doing flip flops while the doctor was trying to look at him/her!  So, alas, we don’t know the sex today.  But, we did find out that the outlook is positive for a healthy baby!!  We also got some new pictures and will post them soon.  OK, I hate to break the news, but pictures will not be posted.  They are super hard to see in person and the pdf did not turn out well at all.  Sorry.  Hopefully next time will be better!

Audrey Payton Owen is Here!

Posted by aeopi on May 13, 2008

My new little niece was born last night around 11:30pm and is a healthy 8lbs 2 oz and 20.25 inches.  Here’s to one less thing to wait on!  She’s beautiful!  She got long fingers and long toes and was ready to take on the world!  Her eyes were open the whole time, just checking people and things out.  She looks a lot like her big sister, Riley, but she’s got her differences, mainly in her eyes.  Here’s a couple pictures of her and one of Riley from when she was born for comparison.  If you want to see more shots click on this link here:

I hate waiting!  Since I am anticipating so much, I want you all to be impatient with me!

We’re waiting on our new niece, Audrey Payton Owen, to be born.  She should be here any moment now!

We have our ultrasound appointment scheduled for Monday…we might possibly get to find out the sex of the baby on this day, if the picture is good enough, so cross your fingers and get your bets in now!

I hit 12 weeks next weekend, so watch for an updated belly shot.

Our next doctor’s appointment isn’t until June 5th after this Monday, so there probably won’t be much to report until then.

We had our third doctors appointment today and finally got to hear the baby’s heart beat!  He/she sounds like they’re working so hard in there!!  Chris and I were both very moved by the experience, I even teared up a little.  Chris took video of it with our camera, click the picture above to hear!

We had our second doctors appointment today and got to see the baby again!  I’m now 8 weeks and BB is the size of a kidney bean.  We got our official due date today, finally!!  November 30.  Althought I kind of want BB to come by Thanksgiving, then we can have a turkey baby!  Our next appointment is in two weeks on May 9, and we’re supposed to be able to hear the heart beat!!
That’s all the news from this side of the belly!  Love to you all!

8 Weeks

Posted by aeopi on May 7, 2008

So those of you who don’t see me often can keep up – I plan on taking pics of my belly at key moments along the pregnancy.  So here is the picture of the 8 week belly.  Not much to see yet.  But just wait, 12 weeks will be better!  And you probably won’t get skin in the next pictures…this was a test, but I think I’m too shy for it.  (btw, this was taken on April 20)
